Hi, I'm Debra
I’m a CDC Certified Divorce Coach® and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. I’ve been through 2 divorces, have been a single parent, a co-parent, and a step-parent. I have the training and the experience to provide you with the personal divorce support you deserve.
Together we can navigate your divorce with clarity and confidence. Knowledge is the antidote to fear and having the right players on your team will empower you to make choices you feel good about. Hard decisions are my specialty – help is here.

Every divorce has a story. Learning to process and manage your emotions is critical to good decision making, faster healing and a more successful post-divorce life.
THERE ARE 2 PARTS OF DIVORCE TO HANDLE AT THE SAME TIME
Coaching helps you move from the story, through the business and on to the future.

Then there is the legal end of the marriage contract. This is the business of divorce where you must agree how to divide stuff, money and parenting time.

STEP BY STEP I'LL GUIDE YOU THROUGH

1. Prepare to Protect Yourself
If you haven’t started your divorce yet or are in the beginning stages, we’ll create an exit strategy to make sure you stay protected. I say hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
I wish that all divorces went smoothly and that partners always treated each other with fairness and honesty. That is often the case, but in the event yours takes a turn for the worse, let’s take a few precautions. The courts don’t always move as quickly as we would like to get things corrected and I don’t want you to make some of the common mistakes.
2. Get to Know Your Numbers
Understanding your finances is the key to good decision making in divorce.
Having accurate financial affidavits and knowing your post-divorce budget will provide you with the information you need to make choices when evaluating your settlement options. They also guide you to design a post-divorce life that you can maintain.
But, what if you don’t know your numbers? No worries, it’s what I do. I have worksheets to help you track and analyze past expenses and estimate your post-divorce budgets. Together we’ve got this.

3. Take Care of What's Important
Kids and financial security. And kids. That’s what clients tell me matter most to them. Step by step we’ll walk through your priorities, what you want in your parenting plan, and how to do what’s best for your children.
From having those age appropriate conversations about the divorce, to talking about new living arrangements and how best to prepare them for the transition.
And what about you? What’s most important to you? The family home or the vacation rental? A larger share of the retirement account or more cash now? Support for going back to school or getting additional training to prepare for re-entering the job market?
4. Plan for the Future
What do you want your life to look like in 5 years? 10 years? Then let’s make sure you’re making decisions today that support that vision.
Evaluating settlement offers and making proposals becomes easier if you have a filter to run those decisions through.
And rocking your post-divorce life means making sure all your buckets get filled. Financial security, social connection, work or volunteering, creative activities, personal and spiritual growth, and so on.
It’s not just about surviving divorce, it’s also about rebuilding so you can thrive after.
